An active pattern set to resume early next week across the Heartland

For the remainder of Friday, wind-driven snow showers may result in visibility reductions and travel disruptions in portions of the north-central U.S. By Friday night and Saturday, snow will shift into portions of the Great Lakes and Northeastern States.

Late in the weekend and early next week, an active weather pattern will return across much of the country, starting in the Northwest.

A significant snow event will unfold early next week across the North, while heavy rain (2 to 5 inches or more) should develop across the interior Southeast, extending as far north as the Ohio Valley.
