ASF found in a commercial hog herd in Poland

The third domestic case of African Swine Fever has been detected in Poland.  The virus was found on a commercial pig farm and more than 8,000 animals had to be euthanized to prevent the spread of the disease. The farm, located near the border of Belarus, is the largest affected by the virus since it was first found in Poland in 2014.  While this is only the third domestic herd to break with the virus this year, it has spread throughout the country in its wild boar population.
