Bayer appealing EU on neonicotinoid ban

Bayer will be appealing a ruling by the General Court of the European Union to ban neonicotinoids.

Darren Wallis with Bayer’s North American Crop Science Division tells Brownfield science-based innovation in agriculture is important to help farmers produce enough food for a growing world.  “At Bayer, we feel this is important to continue to advocate for not only a growers’ rights to have access to technology, but science-based regulatory systems around the world.”

The court voted to ban the pesticides to protect honey bees.
