Iowa State will lead effort to coordinate AMR research

Iowa State University will lead a new national effort to coordinate research on antimicrobial resistance (AMR).

The Association of Public and Land-grant Universities and the Association of American Veterinary Medical Colleges chose ISU to lead the new national Institute for Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Research and Education.

Dr. Paul Plummer with ISU’s College of Veterinary Medicine says the goal is to pool resources and spark a team-oriented approach to AMR research that’s going on around the country.
