President Biden and members of his cabinet are announcing historic investments in rural America over the next two weeks.
The President plans stops in several states beginning with Minnesota today where he’s expected to highlight efforts to support rural Americans.
Ag Secretary Tom Vilsack is accompanying Biden and says more than $5 billion will be awarded for conservation, renewable energy, and rural infrastructure projects.
“That I think underscore the values and the vision of the Biden-Harris administration for rural America and rural Americans.”
He says the $1.7 billion for conservation is the single largest investment in the history of those programs.
