At the Chicago
Mercantile Exchange, live cattle ended the day higher, waiting for direct cash
business to develop and firm wholesale values during the session. Feeder cattle were higher on the same
factors. February live cattle closed $.70
higher at $127.42 and April live cattle closed $.65 higher at $127.95. January feeder cattle closed $.67 higher at
$147.60 and March feeder cattle closed $.90 higher at $147.45.
Headed into the end of the day Friday, a light direct cash cattle trade was reported in parts of the North at $200 dressed.
