Cattle futures higher waiting for direct business to develop

At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live and feeder cattle were higher, waiting for direct business to develop.

Direct cash cattle trade activity picked up on Thursday.  Bids did surface in the South at $177 live and in the North at $188 live and $295 dressed.   Asking prices were at $182 live in the South, the North was quiet.  The distance between bids and asking price could very well push significant trade volume into late in the day Friday.
