At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live and feeder cattle were up waiting for the week’s direct business to develop and the lower move in corn. June live cattle closed $1.52 higher at $175.85 and August lives closed $1.65 higher at $172.55. May feeder cattle closed $2.27 higher at $239.45 and August feeder cattle closed $1.85 higher at $250.10.
The direct cash cattle trade was quiet again Tuesday. Bids and asking prices didn’t surface.
