Cattle futures higher waiting on cash business

At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live and feeder cattle were up waiting for the week’s direct business to develop and the lower move in corn. June live cattle closed $1.52 higher at $175.85 and August lives closed $1.65 higher at $172.55.  May feeder cattle closed $2.27 higher at $239.45 and August feeder cattle closed $1.85 higher at $250.10.

The direct cash cattle trade was quiet again Tuesday. Bids and asking prices didn’t surface.
