At the Chicago
Mercantile Exchange, live cattle futures ended the day mixed ahead of widespread
cash business. Contracts begin to drift
without direction from the cash trade. The
day’s firm move in corn and commercial selling pushed feeder cattle futures lower. April live cattle closed $.47 higher at
$128.82 and June live cattle closed $.05 higher at $119.85. March feeder cattle closed $.62 lower at $140.87
and April contracts closed $.62 lower at $144.40.
Direct cash cattle trade remains quiet.
