Biofuel supporters in Congress continue to call on the Biden administration to issue a waiver allowing E15 to be sold this summer.
Iowa Republican U.S. Senator Chuck Grassley suggests time is running out with EPA regulations prohibiting the sale of E15 beginning June 1st and ending September 15th.
“So any excuse that you’ve got to give retailers and suppliers a long run before you can allow E15, if they could do it last year they can do it this year.”
Grassley says if it can’t get done, legislation in both chambers is the next best step.
