Jenifer Velazquez-Perfecto grew up in Lincoln, Nebraska. She knew very little about agriculture until she joined FFA her junior year through the Lincoln Public Schools Career Academy.
Now a senior at Lincoln North Star High School, Velazquez-Perfecto says her two years in FFA have helped her gain confidence and grow as a leader.
“I was actually very quiet back then, very reserved. I didn’t like talk to front of people or be outgoing,” she says.
