Finally in the field after wet start

 

A Michigan farmer near the Ohio border is frustrated by this year’s planting season

“It’s been a major, major challenge this year.  We finally got in the field and started planting Memorial Day.”

Lenawee County’s Blaine Baker tells Brownfield field conditions could be better as he’s trying to balance planting corn silage and harvesting alfalfa.  “This small pocket down here in Lenawee County—we never even got started before it rained.
