General Mills plans to reduce pesticide use, expand organic acreage

General Mills says it plans to reduce synthetic pesticide use in its supply chain.  In an online report, the company lists regenerative agriculture, integrated pest management practices, organic acreage expansion, and increasing pollinator habitat as tools to reduce chemical use.  So far, more than 136-thousand acres are part of their integrated pest management program this year.

General Mills has set a goal of one million regenerative ag acres by 2030, and they’re offering farmer workshops and some one-on-one technical support to make it happen.
