Hog futures pressured by demand uncertainties

At the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, live cattle were mostly higher, and feeders were mostly lower waiting for the week’s direct business to develop and watching corn. October live cattle closed $.05 higher at $178.67 and December live cattle closed $.22 lower at $182.92. September feeders closed $.42 lower at $248.57 and October feeder cattle closed $.35 lower at $250.87.

It was another very quiet day for direct cash cattle business.  A few bids surfaced at $290 dressed, but they were passed.
