Illinois officials are closely monitoring cases of highly pathogenic avian influenza that continue to pop up in dairy cattle across the country.

“Our animal health officials are tracking that information, getting briefings from USDA and other animal health agencies to ensure they have the most up-to-date information that they can then share with our dairy producers who can make changes on their own farm,” she says.
