Indiana farmer says new trade aid package needs adjustments

The administration has announced a new round of market facilitation payments for farmers impacted by the U.S.-China trade war. Indiana Farmer Mike Beard says the payments must be recalculated for corn farmers who received a penny per bushel in the first round of payments last year. “That bottom line impact to me was nearly 60 cents per bushel, so I don’t think I’d be happy if I didn’t see that much to be equitable,” he says.
