A central Iowa farmer is having success planting soybeans before corn.
Corey Hillebo farms about 20 miles north of Des Moines.
“We did a little early soybeans last year too. It’s proven to us it’s something we can do that doesn’t necessarily cost us any more money and gives us more yield. So I think we’re going to start implementing it more.”
He tells Brownfield farmers in other parts of the Midwest were sharing success stories on social media, which peaked his interest.
