Keeping beef as the center plate protein

One of the top policy priorities for cattle producers this year is keeping beef at the center of the plate for the 2020 Dietary Guidelines for Americans.

Every five years the USDA and the department of Health and Human Services work together to set dietary guidelines.  

Jerry Bohn, NCBA’s policy division chair says those discussions will begin later this year and they hope some of their suggested scientists will be appointed to the dietary guidelines advisory committee.
