Klobuchar briefed by USTR on Mexico, Canada disputes

A leader in the Senate Agriculture Committee expects the U.S. to win two disputes involving the U.S. Mexico Canada Agreement.

Minnesota’s Amy Klobuchar is the number two Democrat behind outgoing chair Debbie Stabenow and says she recently hosted U.S. Trade Ambassador Katherine Tai during a visit to the Minnesota State Fair and was briefed on the fight over Mexico’s biotech corn ban.

“We have enough market forces going against us and we have to get it done, and also just the worldwide implications of this.
