Livestock trucker HOS waiver extended

The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration has extended the waiver for commercial truckers’ federal Hours of Service regulation to February 28th of next year.

The National Pork Producers Council (NPPC) thanked the FMCSA, the Biden Administration and Transportation Secretary Buttigieg for the extension, saying it ensures livestock truckers can get hogs to market safely and efficiently and makes sure truckers hauling feed can get those essential supplies to farms. The waiver was previously going to run out November 30th.
