House Ag Committee member and farm bill conferee Tim Walz says his chamber should follow the lead of the Senate on SNAP to get the 2018 Farm Bill across the finish line.
The Minnesota Democrat tells Brownfield House Republicans have to recognize the farm bill has always been bipartisan.
“And quite honestly, from the very beginning they’ve done something that’s never been done before, they went at it alone.”
The House farm bill that narrowly passed in June included stricter work requirements in the nutrition program.
