A Minnesota Farm Bureau member says recent meetings with
several congressmen and women have him feeling positive about the U.S.-Mexico-Canada
Agreement getting ratified.
Justin Crowley from Circle Pines was part of a farm bureau
lobbying group that visited Washington in mid-March.
He tells Brownfield USMCA was discussed frequently.
“I’m pretty optimistic after our meetings. We received mostly positive messages. There was a tentative nature around the timeline of that (so) we couldn’t really get a concrete timeline as far as maybe being as early as April or as late as August.”
Crowley says ratification of the USMCA agreement would send a strong signal to other trading partners.
