A Minnesota farmer is seeing yields close to what he anticipated as harvest picks up.
Brian Thalmann grows corn and soybeans southwest of the Twin Cities near the town of Plato.
He tells Brownfield his area missed most of the heavier rains in August.
“We actually were getting quite dry in August, and our farm yield potential we felt dropped about 10 percent because of a lack of moisture.
