A U.S. Senator from Minnesota is calling on President Trump to make his presence felt during Farm Bill negotiations.
Democrat Tina Smith tells Brownfield she recently wrote the President about actions he could take to help farmers.
“And the first thing I’m suggesting to him is that he weigh in and urge passage of this farm bill.”
She says the Senate farm bill should be the basis for conferees because it is strong bipartisan legislation.
