June is Dairy Month. Southern Missouri dairy farmer Lloyd Gunter is hosting tours of his dairy farm, he tells Brownfield, because it’s important.
“When you have hands-on or eye-on contact by seeing what’s there, it’s so much better than reading it in a book somewhere” Gunter told Brownfield Friday. “Even these students in college, they need to come out and see a facility to see exactly what is out here.”
The Missouri Dairy Association and several agribusinesses sponsor the event to promote dairy consumption and dairy production.
