Near-seasonal levels of warmth, shower activity to continue across the Heartland

Looking ahead, the 6- to 10-day outlook calls for near- or above-normal temperatures nationwide, with the greatest likelihood of warm weather stretching from northern and central California to northern section of the Rockies and High Plains.

Meanwhile, above-normal precipitation across most of the country should contrast with drier-than-normal conditions from the Pacific Northwest to the northern Rockies.
