North Carolina Pork Council goes on PR offensive as Dorian approaches

The North Carolina Pork Council has launched a public relations offensive as Hurricane Dorian approaches the state.

The group says the state’s pork industry has

been the victim of misinformation during past hurricanes. It says activists who

oppose animal agriculture often warn of environmental threats from hog farms, even

though post-storm assessments later prove those fears completely unfounded.
