North, South American genetics differ on maturities, traits

Bringing soybean genetics from a hemisphere away has meant changes for

company trying to find its footing in the U.S. Brownfield’s Tom Steever reports

from Gibson City, Illinois.

Ignacio Bartolome tells Brownfield the expansion of the DONMARIO Seed footprint

into the U.S. means different maturities and traits than in his native

Argentina where the company’s headquartered.

DONMARIO has a working relationship that results in Burrus Seeds distributing

DONMARIO Seeds. Burrus co-owner Todd Burrus says the joint venture brings

genetics from different parts of the globe and furthers the Burrus goal of

delivering high yields.
