Not much corn planting is done in South Dakota. Doug Noem completed his first 40 acres Monday on his east central South Dakota farm.
“We farm about 1,000 acres of corn,” Noem told Brownfield Ag News Tuesday, “so we might get 10 percent done here in the next couple of days.”
His normal day to begin planting is April 20th.
“This year we couldn’t get the shed doors open because there was a snowbank there,” said Noem.
