Perdue says progress is being made in U.S.-China trade talks

U.S. and China trade talks resume in Washington tomorrow and Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue says progress is being made.

Perdue says farmers are understandably anxious as the trade war with China continues. But he says continued trade talks are a good sign.

“The good news is I’m optimistic that we’re still talking,” he says. “Chinese President Xi has sent the number two guy in China (Vice Premier Liu He) to speak for him.”

He says President Trump will hold out until the right deal

is reached.
