Planting delays are taking a toll on southwest Minnesota farmer Bill Gordon. “It’s tough, it’s emotionally tough, but this is what we do. Last year was not much different (so) we’re hoping it straightens out here pretty soon.” The Worthington corn and soybean grower says he’s considering shorter season corn hybrids as it gets deeper into May. “And we’ll ratchet down (on planting) and try to get closer to the crop insurance date. Hopefully we get this corn in (before that).
