Recent moisture improves crop outlook in Southeast Minnesota

Recent rain has helped improve the outlook for crops in southeast Minnesota.

Ben Storm of Dover tells Brownfield it was extremely dry going into August.

“I live in Olmstead County and Olmstead County on the drought map is that big red circle in southeastern Minnesota, basically engulfs the whole county and that’s about it. But we have been getting some timely rains recently and I think it’s greatly improved the condition of the soybeans.”

He tells Brownfield the moisture might be too little too late for his corn.
