Return on investment shapes planting decisions

The farm economy and weather are shaping input decisions as
farmers prepare to sow a crop in 2019.

Quinn Showalter, head of sales for NK Seeds, says the company has a brand mission centered on technology, genetics, and value.

“The reason we focused on those three words are (because) we believe that’s exactly what farmers are looking for. They want great technology (and) need strong genetics, but in today’s environment it’s got to deliver value in what we call whole-farm ROI.”

He tells Brownfield farmers are evaluating trait choices to make sure the return on investment is there.
