Senate farm bill draft expectations

 

The week of June 11th could be the earliest the Senate Ag Committee releases a draft farm bill.

Agri-Pulse reports several key issues are still being worked out by the committee including commodity and conservation titles.

The Senate version is expected to slightly increase the cap on the Conservation Reserve Program, keep the Conservation Stewardship Program and energy title, and include provisions to legalize industrial hemp production.
