Slow start to the season for southern Indiana farmer

A southern Indiana farmer says cool and wet temperatures are keeping him out of the field.

“It seems at least once or twice a week it rains, and our ground temperatures have been pretty low,” he says. “We’ve hardly gotten to 60 degrees yet and we really haven’t been able to get a lot done because it’s been so cold and wet.”

Ben Kron says weed management is a concern because they haven’t been able to complete fieldwork.
