U.S. Congresswoman agrees with Perdue on importance of disaster aid

A U.S. Congresswoman from Minnesota hopes her colleagues listen

to Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue so farmers can get access to disaster relief.

Democrat Angie Craig tells Brownfield the Secretary was not out of line when he urged Congress to put politics aside to help victims of Midwest flooding.

“I sure hope the Secretary is right and I’m sure going to be on the ground working with anybody who has the best interest of farmers in mind.”

The freshman lawmaker says agriculture tends to bring people together, which is why she pursued a seat on the House Ag Committee.
