Corn planting has wrapped up for two southwest Iowa farmers.
Justin Ewalt of Tabor tells Brownfield, “I think we were kind of the dry pocket in the state,” he said. “Over in central Iowa, they have been really wet. Hopefully, those guys get a little reprieve and get going here this week.”
He says soybean planting has picked up with the recent heat wave. “We did see a lot of early beans this year in the area, so that kind of skews where guys are at typically,” Ewalt said.
