A 26-year-old man from Omaha, Nebraska, was charged and arrested for simple assault and disorderly conduct after punching a juvenile in the face at a business at Lake Poinsett.
The incident occurred on Saturday, July 29, around 9:18 pm when the male entered the business and began yelling before physically assaulting the juvenile.
He then fled the scene in a white van.
With the assistance of the Brookings County Sheriff’s Office, the suspect was apprehended and is currently held at the Codington County Detention Center on a $2,500 bond.
