55-year-old Shane Ghost of Belvidere, South Dakota, has been identified as the man who lost his life in a vehicle-pedestrian collision on Interstate 90, one mile east of Belvidere.
The incident occurred on Saturday, September 16th, at 2:07 a.m.
Ghost was struck by a Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck while crossing the highway from the median.
Despite the Silverado’s driver attempting to brake, the collision was unavoidable.
The 55-year-old driver from Fort Madison, Iowa, emerged unharmed.
The South Dakota Highway Patrol is currently investigating the incident.
