Brookings police responded to a report on Friday about a man who had strangled three cats.
Upon locating and interviewing 33-year-old Cory Martison, he confessed to taking the lives of the cats by choking them.
Consequently, Martison was arrested and is now facing three counts of Cruelty to Animals, classified as a class 6 felony.
He has been booked into the Brookings County Jail and is currently held on a $1,000 cash bond.
