Family Dollar in Beresford, South Dakota, is set to close on April 20, along with the only other store slated for closure in the state, located in Reliance on April 13.
These closures are part of Dollar Tree Inc.’s plan to shutter approximately 600 Family Dollar stores in the first half of its fiscal year.
This decision comes after the company’s announcement in early March to close a total of 370 Family Dollar and 30 Dollar Tree stores in the next several years as leases expire.
Following these closures, there will be 17 Family Dollar and 20 Dollar Tree stores remaining in South Dakota, respectively.
