In the past week, average gasoline prices in South Dakota have decreased by 7.8 cents per gallon, reaching an average of $3.73/gallon today, as reported by GasBuddy’s survey of 628 South Dakota stations.
While prices in South Dakota are currently 6.4 cents per gallon higher than a month ago, they remain 11.9 cents per gallon higher than the same time last year.
Nationally, the average price of diesel has also fallen slightly by 0.7 cents per gallon, now standing at $4.52 per gallon.
GasBuddy’s price reports reveal that the cheapest gas station in South Dakota was priced at $3.38/gallon yesterday, while the most expensive station charged $4.29/gallon, indicating a substantial 91.0 cents per gallon difference between the two.
Additionally, the national average gasoline price has seen a decrease of 3.5 cents per gallon over the last week, with the current average at $3.77/gallon.
This national average is 2.8 cents per gallon lower than a month ago and just 1 cent per gallon lower than the same period last year.
These findings are based on GasBuddy’s comprehensive data, which compiles information from over 11 million weekly price reports encompassing more than 150,000 gas stations across the United States.
