MITCHELL, S.D. – Mitchell residents and visitors will have a chance to hunt for hidden ducks during Corn Palace Festival Week.
Mitchell Main Street & Beyond is organizing the Kernel Quackers Hunt, which will run Aug. 26-30. Participating downtown and area businesses will hide Kernel Quackers for shoppers to find.
People who locate a Kernel Quacker can unlock a special promotion or deal at the participating business.
Organizers say the event is designed to encourage people to explore Mitchell businesses while shopping, dining and enjoying the community during festival week.

Organizers are also asking businesses to report missing or misplaced Kernel Quackers so replacements can be provided.
