The Mitchell City Council on Monday approved the sale date of seven lots around Lake Mitchell.
Those lots will be auctioned off by Dean Edwards Real Estate and Auctions at the Corn Palace on Monday, October 23rd.
A minimum bid has not been set.
Mitchell voters approved the sale of designated parkland at Lake Mitchell, passing an initiated measure on June 6th by a 56% to 44% vote in favor.
The money generated from the land auction will go towards water improvements at Lake Mitchell.
The Mitchell City Council will then approve the sale of the lots in a regularly scheduled City Council meeting following the auction.
