Lawsuit by Former Augustana University Music Professors Progresses in Court

The lawsuit filed by former Augustana University music professors, Lisa Grevlos and Paul Nesheim, alleging breach of contract, retaliation, and discrimination has been allowed to move forward by U.S. District Judge Karen E. Schreier.

The judge granted and denied various aspects of Augustana University’s motion to dismiss, allowing Grevlos and Nesheim to amend their complaint.

The court upheld retaliation and breach of contract claims while specifying the survival of certain discrimination claims related to the removal of roles.

A meeting between the parties is scheduled for January 25 to discuss claims and defenses.
