Madison Police issued a warning after a mountain lion was sighted in town at 11:30 p.m. on Tuesday night, believed to be traveling north.
No additional sightings have been reported.
Residents are advised to keep their pets indoors and exercise caution during outdoor activities.
The Game, Fish, and Parks agency has been informed of the sighting, with video footage obtained from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
