Mitchell Salvation Army seeks community’s help to restock frozen meal supply

MITCHELL, S.D. – The Mitchell Area United Way is urging community members to help replenish the Mitchell Salvation Army’s critically low inventory of frozen meals.

The organization is seeking donations of frozen entrees, side dishes and desserts to ensure local individuals and families in need continue to have access to warm, nutritious meals.

Donations will be accepted from 1 to 3 p.m. Aug. 12 at the Salvation Army in Mitchell.

Organizers encourage residents to prepare homemade frozen meals or purchase ready-made frozen items to donate, saying every contribution will help support neighbors facing food insecurity.
