On October 26, a tragic single-vehicle rollover crash occurred in Crook County, Wyoming, resulting in the death of 42-year-old Donald Wilbur of Belle Fourche, South Dakota.
The incident took place around 2:45 p.m. near Sundance, when a Ford F-350 traveling northbound on WY 585 lost control due to icy and frosty road conditions.
The truck veered into the southbound lane before being steered back to the right, skidding on its driver’s side.
The vehicle ultimately rolled over after crossing the intersection of Canyon Springs Road and came to rest on its wheels. Speed is considered a possible contributing factor to the accident.
Wilbur, the driver, was a beloved father of two and a former student at Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne.
