A popular Mitchell sweet shop celebrated its lucky anniversary Thursday.
Robin Weins says Crazy About Cupcakes got started with a push from a few friends. “I used to do this at home and decided to just go for it and open up a little shop,” said Weins. “And here we are seven years later.”
She says it got off to a sweet start. “I mean we literally in one year went from a small little shop next door and we moved over here which is about twice the size,” Weins said. “We outgrew our first space in less than a year.”
Weins says cupcakes is just one part of her business. “We do custom cakes, we do gourmet brownies that have become really popular, Weins continued. “We do the cheese cake slices, cookie sammis.”
She calls the store her “little corner of the world” and is grateful for the community support.
